After the security line, Momma and Papa enjoyed some breakfast and picked up burritos for the plane ride. Little D woke up and had some breakfast too, after which Momma put him back in the carrier for ease of boarding the plane ride. After lots of bouncing in the carrier little D was back to sleep. Boarding the plane was uneventful, and while sitting in our seats we noticed an empty row of 5 across nearby. As departure time drew near, Papa went to the row and secured it in case no one else showed up. Well, no one did so it was ours - luxurious - lots of room for all the baby gear and baby.
During the flight Damien was a champ. He spent some time sleeping in between Momma and Papa, some time bouncing in the aisles, some time eating and just a little bit of time crying. He did manage to pee all over the bathroom wall when Mommy was attempting her first in-flight diaper change - oops (I did clean it up!). The extra room also made it easier for mom to pump in flight - a major act of mother love, no doubt about it - especially with a creepy old man staring at us the WHOLE flight. The flight concluded with little D taking his bottle during the decent to help his ears pop (he was sleeping when we started to decent and when he doesn't want his bottle he lets you know!), which turned into a nice slumber that lasted until Papa showed up with the rental car (almost an hour after we landed). A very successful first flight! Way to go D.
Printing boarding passes and checking our ONE bag - damn bag fees.

More snoozing, this time Papa caught some Z's as well.
Right after we landed, this is how he spent the majority of the bumpy decent.

Playing in his stoller poolside at the Westin, he's digging the warm weather and bare legs and arms.
Enjoying the view while Momma and Papa enjoy Mai Tai's and appetizers poolside after checking-in.
