Baby Craig's Nursery Is Completed

Baby Craig and Momma were visited by Grandma and Grandpa Klein and Aunt Pamela while Papa Craig was away on a business retreat and they helped put the finishing touches on the nursery and organize all of the wonderful gifts that Baby Craig has already received. Papa Craig's reaction when he got home, oh I think this kid's nickname should be Pharaoh, he has everything a baby could possibly want already. Many thanks to Grandma Linda and Grandpa Richard for all their help.

A view from the closet of the Craigslist dresser/changing table Momma Craig slaved away to refinish.

Close up of the changing table.

Our old Ikea side table (that was black and light wood colored) that Papa Craig spray painted white and Momma Craig decorated with decals.

Another angle, showing the ABC and 123 posters Momma Craig had custom made in the nursery colors from an Etsy seller.

More Nursery Progress

It's beginning to look like a baby room. Papa Craig made Mommy Craig's Sunday last week and put together the crib. He also hung some art, including the animal prayer flags that were purchased at the Oregon Country Fair to bless the room with a little Oregon hippie spirit and good vibes. And the gorgeous and amazingly comfortable glider and ottoman that Baby Craig's Grandparents Linda and Richard gave him (Grandma Linda had the chair custom covered to match the room! THANK YOU!!!) found its place in the corner by the window. Mommy Craig can't wait to finish organizing everything. Nesting in high gear now.

Nursery Progress

Major progress has been made with Baby Craig's nursery. The old Ikea furniture has been moved out, and the bookcase that Lorelei (and Mathias and Auburn) spray painted and the dresser that Lorelei crazily refinished were moved in. Lorelei (with Auburn's spray painting help) made the "Play" sign to match the bookcase and the jungle theme of the room. Soon we'll be moving the bed to the new office/guest room, and can then assemble the crib and put the finishing touches on the room. Stay tuned.

The frog on the left was made by Lorelei and the sock monkey on the right is an Oregon Country Fair sock monkey. Behind the monkey are embossed alphabet/number blocks in French (with French words).

Nesting

Baby Craig gets a Cal Quilt made by his mommy for tailgating

Baby Craig's mommy works on the nursery (with industrial grade protective gear)

Lorelei is in full nesting mode. Baby projects include refinishing a dresser (that's a once in a lifetime experience!), spray painting a bookcase, making a quilt, sewing flannel baby blankets, sewing spit rags, making wooden animal sign for the jungle themed nursery, and more! Thankfully, Mathias is a big supporter and helps make it all possible. Stay tuned for the nursery reveal.
