Despite waking up with a little cold, Damien headed to the City to have lunch with Sam and Jane at the beloved Fog City Diner. He had a great time people watching, so much so, he wasn't to interested in eating (or it could have been the cold). He had a good time - as did the adults. Sadly what used to be an almost weekly affair of Bay Club workout followed by FCD lunch, must be scheduled months out. But, all the Craigs were happy to catch up with Sam and Jane.

Damien Ventures to the City
Damien ventured to the city for the second time in his life to visit family on a gorgeous Saturday morning. Papa headed over to the city to play squash with Uncle Sam. Momma and Damien headed over to Uncle Sam and Aunt Jane's house at lunchtime and enjoyed delicious Indian pizza. Thanks for the lunch!
Damien and Aunt Jane enjoying the AMAZING view from their house. Damien got to see Aunt Jane's goats, chickens and ducks in the other side of the yard.

After lunch Damien headed over to cousin Mariano's house for a little playtime with his cousin. Damien slept through most of the visit (in the carrier on mommy) but woke up in time to check out Mariano put on quite a show in his super cool jumperoo.

Damien with his trademark skeptical look, although he was quite happy in Jane's arms.

Damien Goes to Work
Damien headed to the City of San Francisco for the first time to visit mommy's work and her colleagues. We opted to drive into the city because BART seemed like too much of a challenge at this point - which left us with a hefty parking bill (BART it will be next time). Mommy's work is undergoing renovations, so everyone was dispersed making it hard to find everyone. But, Damien managed to make the rounds and say hi. He was really well behaved, which made Mommy proud. Mommy was happy to see her friends, and really glad to not be working and to not have to return until March!

A happy boy, Damien starts to show off his smiles.

Waiting for Baby Craig
Well, Baby Craig is almost 40 weeks, i.e. fully baked. Due October 9, 2010. Momma Craig is HUGE. Not too surprising given that Papa Craig was over 11 lbs at birth and looked like a 3 month old immediately. Yikes. We're hoping for something a few pounds smaller to start with (especially Momma Craig). Momma Craig is having some mild contractions, but nothing too painful and nothing regular, just getting warmed up I guess. Baby Craig is still passing his monitoring tests with flying colors, he was called a model patient today!
Grandma Colette and her boyfriend Maurice are here all the way from France. They have been cooking delicious meals and cleaning the house for us already, we are so lucky (thank you Colette and Maurice!). Momma Craig is officially on maternity leave as of Friday October 1, 2010. We are all ready and eagerly awaiting Baby Craig's arrival. Momma Craig took Colette and Maurice down to the San Francisco Marina to get some fresh air and some walking in and some tourist shots!

Baby Craig Gets Showered With Love in SF
Baby Craig, and his parents, were so lucky to have another wonderful shower. This time the shower was in San Francisco at the amazing (i.e. magazine worthy) home of Ashley and Jesse (who are happily newly engaged ... eeek!) and was hosted by Ashley, Jesse, Auburn, Jenny, and Leah. Many friends and some family came out to celebrate Baby Craig. Good homemade food, an assortment of beverages, and some funny games were had.
Baby Craig received many gifts off his Babies R Us Registry, including a stroller, baby bottles, eco friendly baby care products, a travel bed for Baby Craig's planned fall travels, play gym, crib mobile and soother, feeding products, and more! [If you want to see pics, they are in our registry]. Baby Craig also received some other very cool gifts like a handknit blueEnergy sweater (pic below), handknit strawberry cap, Cal Bears gear, Oregon Duck gear, the softest blanket in the world (that mommy wishes were a tad bigger!), adorable monkey rug, monkey clothes, and more (did you catch the monkey theme yet!). Mommy Craig was super spoiled by the hostesses with an amazing gorgeous designer purple diaper bag (pic below)! We all feel so blessed and thankful (Baby Craig just kicked in agreement as I wrote this!). Thank you to our hostesses (and Jesse) and to all our friends and family for your time, thoughtfulness and generosity. We can't wait for Baby Craig to meet you all.
The food spread. Leah made dairy free cookies and rice crispy treats that were so yummy. Ashley made dairy free (and not) quiche that tasted like the real thing, Auburn made dairy free (and not) french toast strata that was to die for, and Auburn's mom Elaine made the fixins for BLT's with bacon that she hand carried from Wisconsin!!

Lorelei with Ashley Krupski (holding sleeping Isabella) and 3 (of the 4) hostesses Jenny, Ashley Rupp and Leah (L to R). The 4th hostess Auburn had already left (it was her birthday weekend so she was such a trooper because she had a full calendar). We had so much fun that many of us camera happy girls didn't take many pictures! This picture was taken just before the last of us left.
